History and Trivia

  • At this location: Prior to being Aloha Isle and sponsored by Dole Pineapple, this location was the Veranda Juice Bar and was part of the Adventureland Veranda building. That restaurant closed in 1994, and reopened for a period in 1998 while Pecos Bill Café was refurbished. This portion of the building remains closed and unused.
  • Other Trivia:
    • Sponsors: Aloha Isle has always been sponsored by Dole Pineapple, but in its earlier incarnation as Veranda Juice Bar it was sponsored by Kikkoman, the Japanese soy sauce company from 1977 until 1981 when it became Aloha Isle.
