Disneyland Resort At Christmastime

Introduction and captions by Andrew Rich, all photos by Frank Anzalone

Each holiday season, the Disneyland Resort goes all out in decorations and special events to amaze and delight guests. MousePlanet staff photographer Frank Anzalone visited the Resort on December 15 and took these photographs; if you can't have a Disney Christmas this year, we hope you'll enjoy this virtual tour. Frank used a Nikon D80 with a 17-200mm lens and no extra flash (except the little one built into the camera itself) and no tripods.

Silhouette of Walt and Mickey looking up Main Street.

The first of many varied views of Sleeping Beauty Castle all covered with snow.

A decorated wreath hangs on a Main Street lamp post, with the Castle in the background.

A different view, from across the street. Can you spot Walt and Mickey?

View of the Castle from across the Hub, with an overhanging Mickey garland.

As darkness falls, the Castle is illuminated.

The garlands light up and a warm glow infuses the area.

The faux snow on the Castle turrets looks a little odd in this light.

Pink? Blue? You decide.

During the "Believe... in Holiday Magic" fireworks, a spectacular display of lights appears on the Castle.

The Castle is covered with glowing icicles.
