Queue Description: The queue is well themed to be the outer areas of The Dino Institute, and you'll wend your way past fossils (including a replica of Sue, a T. rex found at Chicago's Field Museum), labs, and other artifacts.

Access Information

Health Restriction: The ride is bumpy with sudden movements and changes of direction. People with heart, back, or neck problems should not ride. Pregnant women should also not ride.

Ride Access: The queue is wheelchair and ECV accessible.

Wheelchair Transfer: It is necessary to transfer from wheelchairs and ECVs into the ride vehicles. This will require climbing into the car and then maneuvering into the necessary seat.

Service Animals: No

Audio: Assistive listening devises are available for audio portions of the actual ride. Video captioning is available for certain monitors in the queue and preshow area.

Weight and Size Issues: Seats may be tight for the tall or large, but should accommodate everybody.

History and Trivia

  • At this location: This ride has been in this location since the park opened in 1998.
  • The Attraction's History: When the park opened, this ride was known at Countdown to Extinction. As a promotional tie-in, the name was changed to Dinosaur in April 2000 shortly before the release of the movie with the same name. One remnant of the original name can be seen in the cTx label on the ride vehicles.
  • Other Trivia:
    • That seems familiar: Dinosaur uses the same technology and track layout as Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland.
