Maggie Parr

Maggie Parr has been working with Disney for over fifteen years. As an Imagineer in the early 1990s, she designed the Gag Factory and Five & Dime stores in Toontown, and worked for two years on Animal Kingdom. As an independent consultant, she's helped create theme park attractions, stores, murals, toys, giftware, graphics, signage, textiles, and more.

In addition, Parr's art has been published in Walt Disney Imagineering (New York: Hyperion Press, 1996), Designing Disney's Theme Parks: The Architecture of Reassurance (New York: Flammarion Press, 1997), and The Art of Disneyland (Disney Editions, 2005).

Parr has created murals and portraits for "Disney's Worldport" in Orlando, the "World of Disney" stores in Walt Disney World and Downtown Disney, the former "Club Disney" in Thousand Oaks, Disney's Fifth Avenue Store in New York City, Tokyo DisneySea, Hong Kong Disneyland's Fantasyland, and more. In addition, Parr was the official character consultant (otherwise known as the "character police") for the Hotel Miracosta section in Tokyo DisneySea, where she designed and/or painted over 40 character-based murals and portraits.
