Cheese

Woolwich Goat Brie - Woolwich Dairy from Ontario, Canada, produces this rennet-free soft-ripened specialty. Reminiscent of traditional farm-made, raw-milk Brie. Paired with toasted Marcona almonds.
Robiola Bosina - This is an Italian cheese from the Langhe region. It is made from varying portions of cow, goat, and sheep’s milk. The cream-colored cheese underneath the bloomy rind has a smooth lushness to its full, tangy, mildly sour flavor. Paired with Berry Compote.
Landaff- The milk of a Holstein Cow and is aged 4-5 months developing a rustic natural rind and a semi-firm paste showing subtle aromas of cave and grass. A bright buttermilk tang and savory brown butter notes. Paired with Honeycomb.
Fourme d'Ambert - This is one of France's oldest cheeses. Fourme d'Ambert is a semi-hard blue that is aged for at least 28 days. It is a mild creamy blue cheese with a delicate fruity flavor and mushroom overtones. Paired with House-made Raisins.

History and Trivia

  • Le Cellier has been at this location since the park opened in 1982. Originally the name was just Le Cellier rather than Le Cellier Steakhouse and it served food cafeteria-style. The focus of the food choices was more on Canadian fare such as maple-syrup pie and salmon dishes.
  • In September 1994, the restaurant closed and reopened on June 25, 1995, with a new menu featuring custom made sandwiches.
  • In 1997 the restaurant again closed, reopening as the sit-down table-service steakhouse that is currently open.
