Time Commitment

Wait Times: Within assigned sections (picnic and Fastpass tickets are color coded to specific viewing areas) seating is first come, first serve; so arriving early is still required to get the best views. Queues start forming 30-60 minutes before the return time shown on your ticket.

Length of Show: 25 minutes.

FastPass: Yes, machines are located at Grizzly River Run.

Queue Description: None.

Access Information

Health Restriction: None.

Ride Access:

Wheelchair Transfer: Not necessary. Each seating section has a small area for wheelchairs and ECVs.

Service Animals: Yes.

Audio: Music and narration are used throughout the show.

Weight and Size Issues: None.

Time Commitment

Height Restriction: None.

Child Swap: Not necessary.

Other Issues: Much of the show takes place at or below the eye level of the audience, making viewing difficult for short adults and children. If you won't be able to arrive early enough to get a front viewing spot you'll probably end up holding your child during the show but keep in mind that when you put someone on your shoulders you're definitely blocking the view of someone behind you.

History and Trivia

  • At this location: When the park opened it was obvious that the Paradise Bay lagoon was too tempting a location to remain unused for long and November of that year saw the debut of DCA's first water show: LuminAria. The show, which mostly consisted of low level fireworks and lighting effects suffered mediocre reviews and complaints about smoke clouds enveloping sections of the audience. It closed for good after just the one holiday season.
